No sound when playing java aplets - sound works fine for everything else.? - isa sound card
Recently installed Windows 98 on an old PC. Do you have the latest version of Java and Flash. Sound Blaster 16 ISA sound card. That works well for everything else, including playing a CD or Windows sounds. I have tried with Firefox and Internet Explorer. Check that all controls are not sound, quiet and not too low volume. DirectX 8.0 installed. Checks all and no IRQ conflicts.

It could be your Internet browser, Java applets to a sound support in Firefox, while others not in Internet Explorer.
